Ying Ying and Le Le are the beautiful giant pandas that I saw in Hong Kong. I've got lots to tell you and show you from my big adventure but I just couldn't resist posting these lovely pandas. I know they a the cause of a great debate ("if you're too dumb or lazy to mate...."etc) but they are incredibly cute. Just look at those ears and nose!

The perfect Valentine, or the ramblings of an emotional idiot!
Hello there! It dawned on me that I haven't updated my blog in a VERY long time and I do apologise (assuming anyone out there is even in the slightest bit bothered!). I have lots of photographs to update you with, some pretty, some exciting, a mix of nature and a healthy balance of city art. But as it was Valentine's Day on Friday and I shot a really lovely Wedding yesterday (photographs of that to come, the couple had known each other for 50 years, just imagine!), I got to thinking about "The Perfect Gentleman". What constitutes the perfect gent or partner? Obviously that will differ for each individual, but personally, I want romance! I want charm! I know I keep saying it but I want wooing! I know, I was born in the wrong Century! Do women really want Mr Darcy? Colin Firth did wonders in his white shirt, being all dark, handsome, (wet) and broody. But isn't broody just code for moody, sulky and not actually very thoughtful? Surely Mr Rochester or the oh-so-sweet Mr Bingley would treat you better, with more respect? Or is it that we ultimately want a bad boy?
I've been hiding away from the storms with Cranford (I can't believe I haven't seen it until now!) and have fallen completely for the charms of Dr Harrison (who incidentally played Mr Bingley in the recent film version of Pride and Prejudice). A sweet, kind man who tries to please everyone and gets himself into all sorts of trouble even nearly losing his sweetheart by trying to be lovely! Last night the first episode of the second series got a little too much for me with several weddings/engagements, death and the arrival of the ultimate perfect gentleman Tom Hiddleston. I had to switch it off, crying my eyes out, half-way through. I couldn't take it anymore! So the perfect Valentine? Oh, what do I know?! An emotional wreck, cuddling her two kitties, a hot water bottle and processing photographs from a beautiful wedding. Let's look at some lovely photographs of owls instead!

Isn't this the most lovely face? I think I'm in love with this owl! |

Christmas collection...
December is here! How did the year go so quickly? It is so lovely to see all of the Christmas lights going up already and to start thinking of buying presents for friends. I really must get on with writing my cards and visit some Christmas markets! It isn't Christmas until you've frozen your fingers in the big city, whilst mooching stalls and eating a hot sandwich! For those of you who don't see me on a day to day basis, I am wearing my Christmas jumpers with pride (shh, don't tell anyone that I've been wearing them since just after Bonfire night!) and I've tried getting the kittens in tiny Santa hats. It is officially Christmas in the Anthony household!
