The other end of the cherry tree ...

Beautiful light, the crunch of leaves and flashes of red dotted around.  It can only mean one thing, the beginning of autumn.  This is one of my favourite trees, not only do I love the cherry, I am particularly fond of this cherry tree, which I can see from my office window.  Standing in front of the library, it fills my heart with cheer and inspiration every time I catch a glimpse.  The dainty blossoms, the distinct bark and the bright red leaves that turn before any other in the city.  Today was the first dry day we've had in ages, giving me the chance to take some shots of the start of my favourite season.  I love the fact that one half of the tree is a beautiful brightly coloured red and the opposite side is still quite a lush apple green.  After work, I spent a delightful ten minutes amongst the leaves, chasing the sunshine, before throwing myself down with the fallen leaves.  It was only after I got up that I realised I had some crunchy leaves trapped in my scarf.  I think they are still there ...
