Simple pleasures ...

With autumn on its' way and it being a Saturday morning, I thought I'd start a new series of blog posts listing my "simple pleasures".  Mainly just an excuse to introduce you to my favourite cake so far (I haven't tasted them all, yet).  This is the Almond and Hazelnut Gateau with a delicious chocolate cream filling, made last Saturday with the aid of lovely Kiki and my gorgeous new, blue mixing bowl.  I am not even that fond of nuts, but this cake is particularly scrumptious.
